As the trial of the year nears to a close, RadarOnline.com has complied the most dramatic and outrageous developments of the State vs Jodi Arias since the death penalty murder showdown began on January 2.

Grisly Autopsy Photos:

The tone for the Arias trial was set from the get-go when the jury in the Maricopa County Courtroom in Phoenix, Arizona was shown gruesome images of homicide victim Travis Alexander lying slashed and lifeless on the floor of his shower after Jodi stabbed him 29 times, including slitting his throat, and shot him, an act she claims was in self-defense. Many of members of the courtroom gasped in shock as autopsy photos revealed the gaping wound the knife made across the devout Mormon's neck, as his two sisters buried their heads in horror.

The 911 Call:

The police had a suspect in Travis' gruesome death before they even arrived at the Mesa, Arizona crime scene, as revealed by the chilling 911 call. In the panicked audio from June 9, 2008, pal Marie "Mimi" Hall told dispatchers, "A friend of ours is dead in his bedroom, we hadn’t heard from him for a while," and when asked if Alexander had ever been threatened, she quickly replied: “Her name is Jodi. No, he hasn’t reported anything to the police. His roommate went in and there’s blood in his bedroom, behind the door and all over, then they went in the bathroom and it’s all in the shower. There’s a girl that’s been stalking him,” she confirmed.

Jodi's Calm And Relaxed Police Interview:

After following the drama for three months, trial-watchers are now used to hearing Jodi's bold-faced lies, but at the onset of the case they were shocked to hear the ease with which the murder suspect told her fictional account of the days after Alexander's death in taped police interviews. “I sent him a couple of text messages and a picture. I just figured he was either in California because he was planning to go there before Cancun,” she told Detective Esteban Flores of the Mesa Police Department on June 10, 2008 – the day after Alexander’s bloody and decomposing body was found and six days after the alleged murder.

Dirty Texts, Sex Games And Violence:

The squeaky clean image of Alexander, a Mormon elder , was severely shaken when Arias claimed she caught him pleasuring himself to a photo of a very young boy. “The only thing I’ll be spitting out is the fact that you’re a pedophile,” Arias, 32, testified that she told the 30-year-old motivational speaker, after he allegedly said he would expose all the “psycho” things she did.

Jodi Takes The Stand:

Murder defendants often don't even say a word during their own trials in fear of turning the jury against them, but Jodi seemed to elate in taking center stage in the spotlight! From tales of childhood abuse and high school boyfriends, to X-rated sex and emotional mind games with Travis, the brunette femme fatale testified for a whopping 18 days.

Sizzling Sex Tape:

A graphic and detailed sex tape made every member of the jury blush and caused Jodi to hang her head in shame as an explicit phone conversation between the former couple was played in the courtroom on February 12. Travis’ family members had been pre-warned by Judge Sherry Stephens not to react as the explicit conversation between Alexander and his killer rang out around the Maricopa County Courtroom — so they sat silently, while Arias repeatedly hid her head in shame.

Recorded on May 10, 2008 by Arias, allegedly at Alexander’s request, the 40-minute tape marked the first time that the jury had heard Travis’ deep, throaty voice as the conversation flipped between his fantasies of graphic sexual acts, small talk criticizing friends, church trips, music, movies, and full circle back to sex again.
