Alec Baldwin has succeeded in TV, film and on Broadway; is late night his next stop?

The articulate A-lister's name has been bandied about as a possible host in NBC's revamped late night lineup when Jimmy Fallon takes over The Tonight Show in February, an executive told the New York Times under conditions of anonymity.

The hunky show biz stalwart has been linked to the program Last Call, a half-hour show which is currently hosted by The Voice's Carson Daly.

The Glengarry Glen Ross star, 55, is coming off a stellar 7-year on the NBC hit 30 Rock, which garnered him two Emmy wins for Best Actor in a Comedy.

He's honed his craft as a talk show host with Here’s The Thing, a podcast in which he's interviewed stars like David Letterman, Billy Joel and Lena Dunham, among others.

Fun fact: Alec has hosted NBC’s Saturday Night Live a record-16 times.
