Miley Cyrus and her hunky Aussie fiance Liam Hemsworth have split, according to a new report Wednesday.

“Miley and Liam are done -- it’s over," an insider close to the celebrity couple told the NY Post. "She likes to party really hard and can be pretty wild. It became a problem for him.”

A separate source told the paper that Miley "is a fiery character, and they do fight, but she is crazy about Liam," and "isn’t ready to accept it might be over for good.”

Another source told the paper Liam, 23, "needed to get away from Los Angeles and spend some time” in his native Australia, where he's been seen with brother Chris Hemsworth, sister-in-law Elsa Pataky and niece India Rose. Miley, in the meantime, has been working on her fourth album in LaLa Land, where she's been seen without her engagement ring on.

One insider said that while the couple has had their share of breaks-ups and make-ups in the past, "They are very, very much apart" right now after Liam's "wandering eye" had the Hannah Montana star paranoid that he was cheating on her, to the extent she recently tweeted a denial that he was.

Miley on March 6 vented some frustrations on Twitter, writing, “I am so sick of La. And sick of the lies that come with it. I didn’t call off my wedding. Taking a break from social media. #draining.”

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, The Last Song co-stars became engaged last May when Liam popped the question with a 3.5-carat Neil Lane diamond ring.
