Chris Brown has been forgiven for allegedly punching Frank Ocean during a brawl at a West Hollywood recording studio.

The singer, 25, has decided not to press charges against the feisty R&B musician who he had a dispute with over a parking space on January 26.

"As a child I thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man," Ocean wrote on his Tumblr page. "But as a man I am not a killer. I'm an artist and a modern person. I'll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult is wisdom. Peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace."

The night of the alleged incident - which involved six men - Ocean tweeted about it to his fans.

"Got jumped by chris and a couple guys. lol. I only wish everest was there," he said referring to his Bernese Mountain Dog. "Cut my finger now I can't play w two hands at the grammys."

Brown, 23, is still on probation for beating up his girlfriend, Rihanna, in 2009. He has been feuding with Ocean over the internet for months.

The beef began in 2011 when Brown described Ocean as a successor to James Fauntleroy, which he took offense to and responded saying he reminded him of a young Ike Turner - who was famous for beating his wife, Tina Turner.
