She wowed onlookers when she arrived at the NRJ Music Awards in France on Saturday night wearing a sparkly mini dress with a plunging neckline.

But one person Taylor Swift didn't let up close to see it was her ex, Harry Styles who was attending the same event with his band One Direction.

The former lovebirds made sure they didn’t bump into each other, a source has told Us Weekly deliberately timing their red carpet arrivals 25 minutes apart.

“It was very carefully timed so they didn’t do the carpet at the same time,” the insider said.

“Taylor didn’t do any backstage interviews and didn’t use a dressing room. She changed at the hotel because she didn’t want to see Harry at any point.

“Things were timed to keep them apart and for it to not become a big media circus.”

According to another source Taylor, 23, made eye contact with Harry, 18 (who was in the audience) when she took to the stage to sing her defiant pop hit, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.

The eyewitness says: “She was talking in French on the microphone saying: ‘So he calls me up and he’s like “je t’aime, je t’aime toujours…je ne sais pas I love you, I still love you, I don’t know’.

“No! We are never ever getting back together, like ever!”

Meanwhile, he may not have rekindled his romance with his ex-girlfriend but Harry didn’t walk away empty-handed. One Direction won the NRJ Music Award for Best International Band.
