Robin Roberts flashed a wide smile – and two thumbs up – in a photo released Thursday by ABC, showing her staging a ‘dry run’ at the Good Morning America studios as she prepares to make her triumphant return to the air next month.

Roberts -- who last appeared at the anchor desk on August 30 as she prepared for her eventual bone marrow transplant -- arrived at the studio in Times Square at 5 a.m. after waking at 3:45 a.m., according to ABC.

"What a thrill to be back at GMA's Times Square Studio this morning and see the best folks in the world, my GMA family," said Roberts, who, along with her doctors, developed the ‘dry run’ plan to help her ease back into her hectic work schedule. "I can't wait to get back to the anchor chair in a few weeks," she added.

Besides her upbeat demeanor, which continues to endear her to fans, the photo of Roberts shows her hair slowly starting to grow back.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Roberts, 51, recently announced that she intended to return to her co-hosting duties on GMA in February – a month which happens to be a critical ratings period in television.

Her return is likely to attract a large audience, as Good Morning America continues to outperform the once-dominate TODAY show, which has fallen to second place in the ratings in wake of Ann Curry’s disastrous ouster last summer.
