Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong is out of rehab and will join his band mates on a just-announced concert tour.

The popular punk band released new tour dates and Armstrong told fans in a statement, "I just want to thank you all for the love and support you've shown for the past few months.  Believe me, it hasn't gone unnoticed and I'm eternally grateful to have such an amazing set of friends and family.  I'm getting better every day. So now, without further ado, the show must go on."

As RadarOnline.com has previously reported, the singer-guitarist had a meltdown in September, throwing a shocking profanity-laced tantrum on stage during the iHeartRadio festival in Las Vegas.

Thinking show producers were shutting down Green Day's performance too soon to make room for more mainstream acts, such as Usher, Armstrong dropped the F-bomb more than 20 times, smashed his guitar, and stormed offstage.

A day later, Green Day apologized for Armstrong's behavior and announced he was seeking treatment for a substance abuse problem.

The group canceled the rest of its 2012 appearances and had postponed the start of this year's concerts. But now, Green Day will resume performing on March 28 at the Allstate Arena near Chicago.

"We want to thank everyone for hanging in with us for the last few months," Green Day's statement read. "We are very excited to hit the road and see all of you again."
