Teen Accused Of Killing Her Own Newborn Reenacts Murder In Step By Step Video Confession

A teenager accused of choking her newborn baby to death reenacted the shocking event while detectives taped her emotionless confession.
That video was released Friday as part of the state of Florida's case against 14-year-old Cassidy Goodson.
Goodson has been charged with capital murder and aggravated child abuse after she allegedly ended her infant son's life following months of concealing her pregnancy from friends and family.
As WFTS-TV, the local ABC station reported, detectives had Goodson go step-by-step through the alleged murder, using a little Santa Claus doll they found at her home.
In the video, Goodson seems calm and composed as she recalls the fateful September morning when she gave birth.
"Its eyes weren't open but I felt to see if it was breathing or not...and it was. So I put my hands round its throat to make it stop breathing," she confessed.
She said she did this for about "one minute."
And when asked how hard she squeezed on the baby's throat, Goodsoon replied: "Enough for it to stop breathing."
Goodson is said to have been so terrified of getting into trouble with her parents she went to incredible lengths to hide the fact she was pregnant - wearing baggy clothes for nine months and even cheating on two pregnancy tests her suspicious mother made her do.

Prosecutors are pressing on the fact Goodson confessed that she did not want to disappoint her parents and that's why she committed the murder, after giving birth in her parents' bathroom.
"Her son was still connected to her by the umbilical cord when she choked him to death," Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told The Ledger, when Goodson was charged with first degree murder and aggravated child abuse in September. "I just can't get over that."
According to detectives, Cassidy's mother Teresa Goodson found the baby's lifeless body after noticing a foul odor in her daughter's room three days later.
"Honestly, if I would have known this would never have happened," she told police.
Goodson is being charged as an adult and if convicted, could face life in prison.
