Outspoken Michael Lohan lashes out at ex-wife Dina in an exclusive new interview with RadarOnline.com, calling her an enabler who is “in denial” of the issues that have haunted their daughter Lindsay for years.

Michael confirmed to RadarOnline.com that he indeed tried to stage an intervention on Friday and get Lindsay into rehab “for good reason.”

He added he intentionally kept his efforts private – particularly keeping Dina in the dark, because “users, addicts, enablers [are] not invited!”

Michael said the effort “was ALL about Lindsay’s well being,” adding Dina is a part of the problem as she carouses with her daughter, setting a bad example.

“A sick person cannot make a sick person better,” Michael said, “unless you have something healthy to donate!”

He added he kept in close touch with Lindsay’s camp throughout his effort to try and help the Mean Girls star.

“They all sanctioned it and even asked me to coordinate it!” the brash show biz dad told Radar. “But you wouldn’t know that because you were out partying with Lindsay’s $40,000 while it was going down!

“If Dina really cared,” Michael said, “she wouldn’t still be in denial of Lindsay’s issues or her own!”
