Nearly 30 people, and rising, have been declared dead. New York, New Jersey and other East Coast states are in a state of emergency after devastation has been wreaked. Millions are without power and more than 80 homes in Queens, New York burned to the ground at the hands of Superstorm Sandy.

But as of early Tuesday afternoon Carole Radziwill of The Real Housewives Of New York City had not removed her controversial and insensitive tweet about the natural disaster.

Late on Monday night, as millions braced themselves for floods and possible evacuation, she tweeted: “Maybe I’m strange but can’t think of another place I’d rather be 2nite than NYC. Flood of 2012. Love eye of storms. History. #stormsandy.”

Radziwill’s tweet is in complete contrast to her castmates, most of whom posted in the immediate aftermath, concerned that New Yorkers were safe and sound.
