Music’s hottest acts hit the red carpet of the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards on Thursday afternoon at Staples Center in Downtown Los Angeles – and RadarOnline.com has all the photos of the action.

Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Demi Lovato are all expected at the annual show, which was moved from its usual Sunday night to Thursday, from 9 p.m. to 8 p.m. and also into the Staples Center from its past venue of the Nokia Theatre.
