Jennifer Aniston's Mom In The Dark Over Engagement: Gives Daughter Her Blessing

One person who couldn’t revel in the good news that Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux got engaged was her own mother, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
Nancy Dow, 76, didn’t find out that her daughter was officially marrying Justin until she heard the news after it was released to the press Sunday night.
But despite being in the dark over the proposal, Nancy couldn’t be happier for her daughter and believes Justin is just the right guy.
“Nancy is absolutely delighted Jennifer is going to marry Justin,” a family insider revealed. “The first she learned of the engagement though was last night after an official announcement had been made to the press.
“She had an inkling that Jennifer was happy and that she was ready to settle down – but because she’s pretty much estranged from her daughter she only learns bits and pieces through Jennifer’s half-brother John Melick.
“They haven’t always seen eye-to-eye, but Nancy only wants the best for her daughter. When Nancy had a stroke she had the pleasure of meeting Justin when he visited her in hospital withJennifer. He brought her flowers, was very caring and Nancy thought he was a true gentleman.
“Nancy believes Justin is good for Jennifer, lets her be herself and their relationship is the real deal,” the insider said.
Nancy was married to Jennifer’s dad, soap star John Aniston for 15-years before they divorced in 1980.
Nancy and Jennifer have had a strained relationship since her mother released a book about her daughter called From Mother and Daughter to Friends: A Memoir in 1999.
However, in 2005 after Jennifer’s divorce from Brad Pitt hit the news, the pair appeared to have finally reconciled.
A further sign of their improving relationship came when Jennifer, 43, and Justin, 41, rushed to her mother’s hospital bedside in September 2011.
Nancy was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital, with fears her life was in danger after she suffered a brain seizure.
But with months of rehabilitation and a stream of caregivers visiting her North Hollywood home, Nancy has now found a new lease of life and is much healthier now.
