Texas Rangers announcer Dave Barnett will miss two games while undergoing tests after medical officials say he might have suffered a stroke during Monday night's broadcast of a game between the Rangers and San Diego Padres, when he briefly lapsed into gibberish.

In the sequence, Barnett slowly said the "go-ahead run is at fifth base ... on what Texas reliever Mike Adams is insisting on calling a botched robbery. What actually happened was his henchman ..."

Barnett said he thinks the botch was the result of a "recurrence of migraine headaches."

Methodist Dallas Medical Center neurosurgeon Dr. Jim Moody told ABC News that "part of a blood vessel can rupture, such as a balloon in an aneurysm -- those need to be treated early."

The incident brought immediate flashbacks to Los Angeles reporter Serene Branson's verbal flub covering the 2011 Emmys, also speculated on as a stroke.
