The Spice Girls reunited for the first time in four years on Tuesday in their native London on the promotional trail for the musical Viva Forever!, which will feature their hit songs.

The premise of the musical (written by British comic Jennifer Saunders) according to its website: “As one girl follows her dreams, Viva Forever! charts her journey into the world of overnight celebrity and its impact on her mother and the friends she thought she’d have forever.

“From London to Spain and back again, as the world judges you, it’s all about who you really are and who you want to be, whatever the cost.”

The band initially broke up in 1998 when Geri left the group and then all five girls reunited in 2007 for their Reunion Tour and the release of their Greatest Hits album — but haven’t been together again until now.

The musical opens at London’s Piccadilly Theatre on December 11.
