Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Mom Patricia Dies After Cancer Battle

Jennifer Love Hewitt’s beloved mother passed away Tuesday after a battle with cancer RadarOnline.com has learned.

“Patricia Hewitt, beloved mother of actress Jennifer Love Hewitt and Dr. Todd Hewitt passed away yesterday at age 67 from complications due to cancer,” Jennifer’s rep told RadarOnline.com.

“Her family mourns her loss. She was an angel to all who knew her and they are grateful she is now in a better place. They ask for privacy at this difficult time.” 

Jennifer was spotted out in Los Angeles in May with her mother, just one day before Mother’s Day.

J-Love and her mother moved to Los Angeles in 1989 so she could pursue an acting career, and she booked her first role on Kids Incorporated and shot to fame shortly after.

Jennifer recently said that her mom was totally supportive of her role as a call girl in her hit TV show The Client List.

"My mom's like, 'I'm so proud. You're pole dancing and you're going to play a prostitute. Awesome!'" she joked to Entertainment Tonight in 2010.

"It's like, 'Yeah, what you always dreamed about, mama!' But you know, it's a great part."
