Friends, family and fans said a final farewell to singer Donna Summer at a Nashville, Tennessee church on Wednesday.

Her closest family members had kept details of the funeral private since the disco queen’s death from lung cancer on May 17 at age 63, but it was revealed the service was being held at 2 p.m. in the Christ Presbyterian Church, reported CNN.com.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the Last Dance singer, who kept the extent of her illness secret from some of her closest friends, passed away at her home in Sarasota County, Florida last Wednesday morning.

While the funeral was kept as private as possible and was invitation-only, several high profile members of the industry attended including producers David Foster and Giorgio Moroder.

The Grammy winner’s mourners solemnly followed her casket, which was covered in white roses. Summer’s representative told RadarOnline.com last week that in lieu of flowers from well-wishers the family requested that donations be made in Donna's honor to the Salvation Army.
