The saxophone player for rock band The Killers tragically committed suicide this week and his fellow band members are saddened by his death.

Tommy Marth, 33, was found in his home in Las Vegas on Monday and his death has been ruled a suicide, the Las Vegas Sun reported.

"Last night we lost our friend Thomas Marth. Our prayers are with his family. There’s a light missing in Las Vegas tonight. Travel well, Tommy,” the Killers said in a statement.

Marth toured with the band in 2008-2009 and played on two albums, Sam’s Town and Day & Age.

"I'm not sure it's hit me yet," local musician and photographer and Marth’s longtime friend Corlene Byrd said.

"He was an amazing person. He was one of the easiest people to be silly with."
