Whitney Houston’s devastated family was "saddened" by the news of her toxicology report results that were released Thursday, and they released a touching statement about the late singer.

“We are saddened to learn of the toxicology results, although we are glad to now have closure,” Whitney’s family said.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the I Will Always Love You singer's toxicology report was released by the L.A. County Coroner's office Thursday, and stated that "Cocaine and metabolites were identified and were contributory to the death. Marijuana, Alprazolam (Xanax), Cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) and Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) were identified but did not contribute to the death."

Houston's death was determined to be caused by "drowning and effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use."

Whitney is survived by her 19-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, her only child with singer Bobby Brown, and she is currently living in her late mother’s Atlanta estate with Nick Gordon, her mother's "adopted" son.

In an emotional interview with Oprah Winfrey, Bobbi Kirstina spoke lovingly of her mother.

“Her spirit is strong, it's a strong spirit,” she said. “I can hear her voice in spirit talking to me -- ‘I’m right here, I’ve got you’ -- I can always feel her with me. I feel her pass through me all the time.”

Bobbi Kristina spent the days leading up to Whitney’s death by her mother’s side and was so distraught at her death that she had to be hospitalized twice within twelve hours.  She has been leaning on her grandmother Cissy Houston since her mother’s death and her aunts, uncles and her father are helping her deal with the tragedy.
