Whitney Houston's boyfriend, Ray J, is telling friends that he never did cocaine, marijuana, or any other illegal drugs with the Grammy award winning singer, and he didn't see her on the day she died, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

"Ray says that he never did any illegal drugs with Whitney, no cocaine, no marijuana, period," a source tells RadarOnline.com. "Ray doesn't do drugs. He wasn't with Whitney at all on the day she died, he didn't see her, he was never at the hotel that day. He spoke with Whitney on the phone several times throughout the day and they exchanged text messages, but he didn't see her at all in person, period. Ray was going to accompany Whitney to Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party, and he was planning on arriving at around 5:30 p.m. that night to take her to the party."

However, Ray did drink alcohol with Whitney. "They definitely went out on the town and Ray would drink alcohol with Whitney. Ray would never get drunk though as he isn't a heavy drinker," the insider says.

As previously reported, Houston's toxicology report stated the 48-year-old died from accidental drowning with secondary causes listed as heart disease and cocaine use.

Houston passed away on February 11 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel the night before the Grammy Awards.
