Vanessa Minnillo Turns Her Back On Family; Estranged From Mother & Brother

In recent weeks, celebs such as Madonna and Tracy Morgan have raised eyebrows for reportedly turning their backs on family members, and according to Star magazine, Vanessa Minnillo, who now who now goes by her married name of Lachey, is a member of the club as well.
An insider tells Star that Vanessa didn't invite her older brother, Vincent Minnillo Jr., a 33-year-old grocery store worker in Illinois to her tropical wedding to singer Nick Lachey last summer.
“Vincent and Vanessa were really, really close when they were kids," a source says. "But for whatever reason, she stopped talking with him years ago.
“It hurt Vincent initially, but he’s moved on and just accepts it for what it is.”
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the 31-year-old stunner has also been estranged from her mother, Helen Bondoc, and she too was not invited to her daughter’s special day. In fact, Helen had no idea that her daughter was even getting married!
Star magazine spoke with Bondoc exclusively at her South Carolina mobile home 12 days after Vanessa and Nick’s July 15 wedding in the British Virgin Islands, and Helen struggled with her emotions.
“Oh my goodness, she’s beautiful!” Helen told Star as she grew misty-eyed while looking at photos of Vanessa and Nick on their St. Barts honeymoon.
“She’s changed so much, though I can still see that little scar on her forehead from where she picked at her chicken pox when she was a child.
“I didn’t have a clue that Vanessa was getting married. We last spoke about 12 years ago, on the phone. I just wanted to talk to her and tell her everything straight about my life. But I still think about her all the time, and I still love her dearly.”
