One of Hollywood's most historic landmarks is losing its name, and RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned a reality-TV star wants to buy the rights and name it after himself.

David Golshan, an international comedian who was recently featured on Millionaire Matchmaker and will be appearing on Ryan Seacrest's new reality show, Shahs of Sunset, is putting together a multi-million dollar bid to buy the naming rights to the Kodak Theatre from CIM Group, who currently owns the building.

Kodak filed for bankruptcy on January 19 and on Wednesday the company requested that its name be removed from the infamous Kodak Theatre — for which they entered into a $75 million 20-year deal with CIM about 10 years ago.

Details of the agreement have not been released, but insiders tell RadarOnline.com that David's been speaking with other private investor groups and some celebrity friends to invest and give the theatre a new modern makeover and rename it 'The Golshan Theatre.'

"David has always joked that he loves performing on the world's biggest stages, so what bigger stage than one named after him?" the insider said.

When contacted by RadarOnline.com, a rep for David exclusively confirmed the news stating, "David doesn't want to see a piece of entertainment history be put into the wrong hands, and therefore he is discussing all possibilities, including trying to figure out how to keep The Academy Awards in the building for years to come."
