Courtney Stodden was hoping to add ‘commercial actress’ to her ever-growing resume but the Teen Bride’s mermaid-themed audition tape was too raunchy for the financial company.
The busty blonde entered a competition to be a spokesmodel for FreeCreditScore.com, and after conflicting online reports, RadarOnline.com has exclusively heard straight from the mermaid’s mouth about what went down with her wet and wild pitch.
“Even though my commercial went viral internationally and was the most popular, I am apparently too dang sexy for FreeCreditScore.com,” Courtney, 17, told RadarOnline.com.
The raunchy ad in question starts with two buddies fishing for dinner and after catching one bite-size fish, they finally catch the big one — Courtney!
“OMG. I’m so…wet,” Courtney says when she pops out of the water as a mermaid, shaking everything she can in her typical sultry way.
Mom Krista Stodden added, “Courtney really had fun doing the commercial and did it as a favor for the producer.”
In an e-mail to RadarOnline.com, a spokesperson for FreeCreditScore.com emphasized that Stodden hadn’t been hired, approved or paid one penny to promote their website.
“She and a production team were among dozens of creative producers who responded on spec to a posting on Poptent.net, a crowdsourced video production service, where brands and agencies post specific video assignments to generate creative concepts for review and consideration by a brand,” the spokesperson said.
The statement goes on to explain, “Neither Courtney Stodden, nor her production team, were selected or funded for any FreeCreditScore.com advertisement, nor was she hired to be a representative of the brand.”
