Chris Brown's powerhouse attorney, Mark Geragos, has been talking to the Florida State's Attorney's Office concerning allegations that the Grammy award winning singer allegedly stole a phone from a woman as he sat in a car outside a Miami Beach nightclub, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

As previously reported, Brown has been accused of stealing Christal Spann's iPhone after she says she snapped a pic of the singer sitting in the back of a Bentley. Brown allegedly snatched the phone, and said, "bi*ch, you're not gonna put that on the Internet," and then drove off.

Geragos has been talking to the Florida State's Attorney's Office, who will decide if Brown will be charged with any crime. "The moment Chris became aware that this woman filed a police report, he contacted Mark, who has been talking to the prosecutors in Florida for several days. Chris says he has nothing to hide and is hopeful that he won't be charged with stealing the phone," a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com.

Despite the public information office for the Miami-Dade Police Department saying that an arrest warrant was going to be issued for Brown, that isn't going to happen -- yet. "The matter is still under investigation, and no decision has been made about whether or not Chris will be charged with any crime. The Florida State's Attorney's Office will decide whether or not to file any charges against Brown," the insider says.

If Brown is arrested, it could be extremely likely that the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office will seek to revoke his probation for his no contest plea of battery of his then-girlfriend, Rihanna.

"Chris wouldn't need to be convicted in the Miami case, if he is charged. The conditions of his felony probation are very, very strict. Chris must obey all laws and not be arrested for any other crimes. This could be a huge nightmare for the singer's probation if he is arrested and charged," the source tells RadarOnline.com.

A rep for the Florida State's Attorney's Office tells us the case is still under investigation.

Calls seeking comment to Mark Geragos weren't immediately returned.
