When Taylor Armstrong first revealed the shocking news that she was being abused at the hands of her husband Russell, her co-stars had a hard time believing her, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

Taylor told the other women about her abuse, but her stories didn’t match up,” a show insider revealed. “They thought that maybe she wasn’t telling the truth about how Russell was treating her.”

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are not friends off screen, only on their reality show. And, when Taylor told the women that Russell was abusing her, they doubted her stories.

“The other Housewives didn’t understand why Taylor would claim that Russell was abusing her but would stay with him and not take care of the problem,” the source said. “They all offered her help to get out of the situation, but she didn’t do anything”

The specifics of the abuse weren’t always consistent so that raised a red flag with the women.

“Taylor’s stories about the abuse would change and she would amp up the details of the violence so the other women started to doubt any part of her story,” the source said.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Bravo’s hit show has seen a huge ratings win with the show this season following Russell’s tragic suicide last August, and the revelation that Taylor said she was abused by him.

However, her versions of the events caused the Housewives to question whether Taylor was actually telling the truth about what was happening, or if she was just trying to drum up drama in her own life.

“Each time Taylor would talk about the domestic abuse her story would change, and the ladies started to think that she wasn’t being honest about what was happening,” the insider said.

As for the women on the show, Bravo is looking to add some new drama into the mix, with the likelihood of both Camille Grammer and Taylor not returning for season three.

"Producers are asking Lisa Vanderpump, Adrienne Maloof and Kyle Richards if any of their wealthy female friends would be interested in appearing on the show,” a Bravo network insider told RadarOnline.com.

“It's an open secret that Camille most likely won't be back for a third season. She came off as such a b**ch during season one, whereas this season she has been very reserved, and she isn't exactly eager to return.”
