Nick Cannon's Father Channels Spiritual Side, As Son Battles Kidney Failure

As Nick Cannon lays in a Los Angeles hospital -- battling kidney failure, which his wife Mariah Carey described as “minor,” -- his deeply-religious father James has taken to Facebook, posting a series of spiritual messages presumably focused toward his son's recovery.
Among the messages posted by James, a motivational producer/televangelist:

"Thank you all for all your love, prayers and concern," the America’s Got Talent host wrote. "You know me... I will be a'ight"
As we previously reported, the 41-year-old Vision of Love singer -- and mother of Cannon's baby twins, Moroccan and Monroe -- wrote on her website Wednesday, "Please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful" after he was hospitalized in Aspen, Colorado.
