Demi Moore was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital Monday night and underwent a 30-minute evaluation, RadarOnline.com has learned, leading to the actress Tuesday announcing she’d seek professional help “to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health.

"She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends," her publicist Carrie Gordon said in a statement regarding the 49-year-old G.I. Jane star.

L.A. City Fire Dept. spokesman Matt Spence confirmed that authorities “received an emergency call at 10:49 p.m. for an unknown illness” at Moore’s home Monday, and that “at least one patient was taken to a local hospital.”

As of Wednesday, some outlets had reported the hospitalization was substance abuse-related.

As a result of her treatment, Moore’s rep said the star would pull out of the Linda Lovelace biopic Lovelace, in which she was to play Gloria Steinem.

Demi’s been the subject of much speculation since she announced her split with estranged husband Ashton Kutcher, 33, in November. The break-up came after he cheated on her with a 23-year-old woman in San Diego September 24 -- the same night of their sixth anniversary.
