Like any bride-to-be, Heather Taylor dreamed of walking down the aisle in a white wedding dress but instead her 'I dos' were said in a hospital while wearing a tank top.

The 26-year-old breast cancer survivor from Lakewood, Colorado, is suffering from a life-threatening brain tumor and decided that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with fiancé, Jimmy New, however short a time that may be.

After doctors warned the couple that the tumor had spread to her spinal cord, New went down on one knee by her bedside at St. Anthony's Hospital last week and proposed to his girlfriend of two years, reported 9News.com.

Luckily, Heather said yes!

"There's nobody I would rather spend the rest of my life with than the woman sitting right next to me," said New, before the couple officially became man and wife on Sunday.

"We love each other," said Heather, who instead of wearing a wedding gown, wore a white tank top with "Bride" written on the front.

Despite her serious condition, the couple still managed to have a church wedding by exchanging their vows at the hospital chapel in front an intimate audience that included her nine-year-old son.

Heather and Jimmy hope to keep her memory alive long after the honeymoon period is over through her foundation, hopeforheatherfoundation.com.
