Kanye West, Adele Lead 2012 Grammy Nominations

Kanye West was atop the field with seven nominations, while critically-acclaimed English songstress Adele was hot on his tail with six, as Grammy Awards nominations were announced Wednesday night in Los Angeles.
West's "All of the Lights" is up for song of the year, best rap/sung collaboration and best rap song, while "Otis" picked up two nods in the best rap performance and best rap song categories. The 14-time Grammy-winner racked up two nominations in the best rap album category, for his My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album and his joint project with Jay-Z, Watch the Throne.
Among Adele's six nominations included record of the year and song of the year for her single "Rolling in the Deep," and album of the year for her best-selling 21. The mega-talent won the Grammy for best new artist in 2009.

Elsewhere, the Foo Fighters and Bruno Mars racked up six nominations each, while prominent artists such as Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne and Radiohead received assorted nominations.

The nominations were announced in a live concert special televised on CBS and hosted by LL Cool J.
The 54th Annual Grammy Awards will take place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles February 12, airing on CBS at 8/7c.
