Legendary television star Harry Morgan died at the age of 96 in his Los Angeles home on Wednesday, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The beloved actor was best known for playing Colonel Sherman T. Potter in the long-running series, M*A*S*H, a role that won him an Emmy in 1980.
He also starred in more than a hundred films, most commonly playing bad guys in Westerns, and played Officer Bill Gannon in the classic 1960s cop show, Dragnet.

Morgan’s son, Charles, confirmed his death and revealed that he had recently suffered from pneumonia.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Bushman, whom he married in 1986; three sons from his first marriage, Christopher, Charles and Paul; and eight grandchildren. A fourth son, Daniel, died in 1989.
