Calling all Potterheads, Gleeks, Twihards and Trekkies: There’s a new dating show just for you!

Geek Love, premiering tonight on TLC, shows the life of geeks looking for love with the help of the Geek Love Doctor, Ryan Giltch, and in an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, he reveals all the secrets to finding love for geeks.

Ryan, an avid Star Wars fan, had an idea to help people like himself find love: speed dating at conventions. Ryan feels this is the perfect way for hardcore fans to meet, because it allows “people that have like-minded interests to sit down for three minutes and just unload and see if there’s something there.”

Luckily for Ryan, his matchmaking skills worked when he found love at the first session he ever held in August 2010.

“We started dating in September, so we’ve been together a year and three months,” Ryan says of his girlfriend. “She was a participant and she was really pretty; she had a new Jedi Order tattoo and it was love at first sight.”

The best thing to do in the search for love, Ryan says, “is to be yourself, be confident, and if you don’t find your match right away, keep looking because there’s somebody out there for you.”
