Kim Kardashian -- feeling the backlash from a 72-day marriage many are calling a lucrative publicity stunt -- told Aussie radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Wednesday that she would “never marry for a TV show or for money.”

The appearance marked Kim’s first interview since shockingly filing for divorce from husband Kris Humphries Monday.

"I don't think I'm ready to go into details of what went on in my marriage,” the socialite told the 2Day FM hosts, “but I do want to make clear that I would never marry for a TV show, for money, for anything like that and I think that’s ridiculous that I have to defend that.

“But I guess that's what comes along with when you film your wedding for a reality show."

Kim, 31, said with her family’s support, “Everything will work out how it’s supposed to.”

Kim, who faced a media blitz as she left LAX Monday, called her trip down under "an escape” from the Southern California epicenter of her break-up.

Kim also addressed the critics in a statement on her website Tuesday in which she said, "There are also reports that I made millions of dollars off of the wedding. These reports are simply not true and it makes me so sad to have to even clarify this.”

She said she’ll “be donating the money for all the gifts to the Dream Foundation."

As we previously reported, Hollywood attorney Laura Wasser will represent Kim in the split; the duo reportedly has a prenuptial agreement in place.

Kardashian and Humphries tied the knot August 20 in a lavish affair with stars like Ryan Seacrest and Lindsay Lohan among the 400 in attendance. The TV special chronicling the nuptials, E!'s Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event, aired last month to huge ratings, averaging 4.4 and 2.7 million viewers respectively on consecutive nights.
