It seems Kim Kardashian just can’t keep a commitment.

Reality TV’s biggest star -- who shocked the world in filing for divorce from her husband of 72 days, NBA forward Kris Humphries, on Monday -- abruptly changed her weekend plans Thursday, canceling the rest of her stay in Australia to return to the states immediately.

The socialite walks away from a slate of lucrative promotional appearances, including what would have been a $150,000 payday for appearing on behalf of Swisse vitamins at the Melbourne Cup Carnival Saturday.

"I am very disappointed that I am unable to attend the Swisse marquee," Kardashian told Australian paper The Herald Sun, "but I hope to come back and work with the Swisse team at another point in time.”

She continued, "I love our fan base out here. Of course I do really want some time to myself and it has been tough. But I didn't wanna bail on everyone and, you know, skip out on this commitment."

Earlier Thursday, the beauty (accompanied by sister Khloe, who's leaving as well) sported a sullen stare appearing at Sydney’s David Jones city store in support of her line.

Kim, 31, told fans at the event, "We're so excited to be here in Australia!"

Immediately after filing for divorce, the starlet Monday night left LAX through a media circus to fulfill the obligations she'd commit to before the shocking news of her pending divorce broke.

As we previously reported, Hollywood attorney Laura Wasser will represent Kim in the split; the duo reportedly has a prenuptial agreement in place.
