The Duchess of Cambridge was suitably somber and conservative for the Remembrance Day service in England on Sunday, and RadarOnline.com has photos of her fashion flashback to Princess Diana.

Dressed in a black double-breasted Diane Von Furstenberg coat, Kate Middleton was almost a mirror image of the mother-in-law that she never met, who wore a very similar outfit when she attended the same ceremony at the Cenotaph war memorial 27 years ago in 1984.

Kate completed her traditional outfit with a black Jane Corbett hat and a cluster of bright red paper poppies, which have been traditionally worn in England since the end of World War I to symbolize the poppy fields that bloomed across the battlefields of Flanders in Belgium, along with the blood of the soldiers who died in the war.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Sunday marked the first time the stunning wife of Prince William attended the service as a royal.

While it was a solemn occasion, paying tribute to Britain's war dead, Kate stood out as she watched the event alongside her mother-in-law Camilla Parker Bowles, and her husband's grandmother Queen Elizabeth.
