San Diego Sheriff Bill Gore says the results of a second autopsy on Rebecca Zahau -- initiated by Dr. Phil McGraw, and broadcast on Tuesday -- revealed nothing new, calling the episode "nothing more than sensationalism at its lowest point.”

Following Tuesday’s program, which featured forensic pathologist Dr. Cyril Wecht giving medical results and theories on Zahau, who was exhumed for a second autopsy in the wake of her mysterious death, Gore said, "The family is only enduring more suffering from this insensitivity.”

As RadarOnline.com previously reported,  Zahau's tragic death was ruled a suicide after her naked body was found hanged with her hands and feet bound at boyfriend Jonah Shacknai’s mansion on July 13. The death occurred just days after Shacknai’s 6-year-old son Max had a fatal accident in the home while under Zahau's care.

Wecht took exception with a number of the findings of San Diego authorities, saying he believed they rushed to judgment proclaiming Zahau's death a suicide, as evidence pointed to the death being a homicide.

"How does someone go about binding their hands in a slip knot, binding their calves, putting a rope around their neck and then putting a shirt over the rope, binding it three times and then stuffing it in their mouth?" Wecht asked. "Harry Houdini did it 70 years ago. I've yet to hear where she acquired this skill.

"There can be no doubt that it demanded further investigation -- I lean very strongly for it being a homicide, something involving foul play, and lean strongly against it being a suicide.”

Gore, in response, said that no new evidence has been presented to investigators or the Medical Examiner's Office in the wake of the 32-year-old gym trainer's death.

"If Dr. Wecht, or Miss Bremner would like to share information they believe is pertinent with our investigators, we would be glad to meet with them, rather than hear their results on television, presented as entertainment," Gore said.
