Conrad Murray Talks About Michael Jackson Asking For 'Milk'; His Codeword For Propofol

On Friday the jury listened to a taped police interview with Dr. Conrad Murray where he admits to giving his former patient, Michael Jackson, Propofol. Murray is charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with the King of Pop's death.

Dr. Murray sat down with LAPD Robbery Homicide detectives two days after Jackson died. The cardiologist said he had given Michael various sedatives in the early morning hours of June 25, 2009.

According to Dr. Murray, the singer asked him for "milk,", the detectives asked if Michael Jackson wanted "hot or cold milk," and it was at this point that Dr. Murray first revealed to investigators that he milk was Jackson’s codeword for the powerful anesthetic Propofol.

Dr. Murray said he gave Jackson 25 mg of Propofol around 10:40 a.m., and that he had given Propofol to Jackson for two months prior to his death.

"I gave it more than 10 times, and for the last two months, 30 days a month, everyday. Daily, with the exception of three days. I tried to wean him off," Dr. Murray said.

Dr. Murray said that Michael Jackson had been given Propofol by other doctors in the past, but didn't specify which doctors.
