Stars Reveal Their Worst Jobs Ever At Do Something Awards

The 2011 Do Something Awards were taped Sunday at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, and RadarOnline.com hit the red carpet.

With Labor Day right around the corner, our Candace Smith questioned Do Something attendees about the absolute worse job they ever had -- and there were some unusual answers!

Apparently actors gravitate to jobs that force them to go door to door, whether it’s VH1’s Single Ladies star D.B. Woodside selling vacuums or Single Ladies star Charity Shea selling oil changes.

When America’s Next Top Model’s Tyra Banks shared how difficult it was for her to get a job in a mall before becoming an international model, Candace was in disbelief.

As a young boy professional skateboarder Tony Hawk was forced to deliver newspapers but of course on skateboard.

Some of the stars didn’t have it so bad; Vampire DiariesMalese Jow worse job was a commercial she shot at the age of 10 strapped to a tractor.

Celebs Arrive To The 2011 ESPY Awards

The prize for worse job went to a member of the band Carolina Liar, who worked in an elderly home and cleaned adult diapers, which has prepared him for baby diaper duty.

EXTRA’s Mario Lopez worse job was working for his uncle’s construction company in the summer, “digging ditches is tough.”

Rocker Gene Simmons’ worse job was cleaning the fat off the chopping block of a butcher shop when he was 12, which led Candace to question whether there were child labor laws back then.

MTV VJ Damien was forced to work in the sun at the Lego factory but was forced to retire because of sun blisters.

Los Angeles Laker Matt Barnes doesn’t consider playing basketball to be work so technically he has only worked 2 weeks of his life delivering newspapers in high school.

The Do Something Awards -- hosted by Glee’s Jane Lynch -- will air on VH1 Thursday, August 18 at 9pm/ 8pm central.
