Mom-To-Be Jewel Dishes On Pregnancy, Cravings & Workout

Jewel is expecting her first child with rodeo star Ty Murray this summer, and she couldn’t be any more excited! The Grammy Award winning singer recently opened up to Fit Pregnancy Magazine in their August/September 2011, which hits newsstands next week, about all of her cravings, how she is staying in shape during her pregnancy and the inspiration behind her upcoming album.

RadarOnline.com also has an exclusive video interview with the country star, where she gushes over her hot cowboy and talks about why they waited 10 years to have a baby.

Stars Show Off Their Baby Bumps In Bikinis

The San Diego born singer, who has gained the 30 pounds during her pregnancy, has been maintaining a healthy diet of protein, whole grains and veggies and has been working out the entire time.

“I enjoyed it before and am keeping it up,” she told Fit Pregnancy about her workout.

“At first I was doing rigorous cardio, then slowed down to the elliptical and now I’m doing Julie Tupler’s program for abs.”

And the arrival of her first child isn’t the only thing Jewel will be celebrating this summer! Her second children’s album The Merry Goes 'Round is set to be released August 16th.

“I wrote it for my baby,” she revealed.

“I tried to write songs that are lessons. Some are about conquering fears, like when you hear noises in the dark but it’s only shadows.”
