Casey Anthony’s Lawyer’s Wife Calls 911 After ‘Threatening Phone Calls’

The backlash against Casey Anthony has extended even to her lawyers.

The public outcry against the not guilty verdict has angered so many people that apparently even her attorneys and their families aren’t immune to the rage.

The wife of Cheney Mason, one of Casey’s defense attorneys, called 911 Tuesday night saying that she had received “threatening phone calls.”

Shirley Mason told the operator: “I’m just getting a lot of threatening phone calls at my home…I’m trying to get the telephone company to cooperate and put a drop trace on my line…They don’t want to do that..I hate to call you…I would just like an officer to respond so I can get something done tonight.”

According to News 13 in Florida, Shirley said she has been receiving voicemails messages, including: "She (Casey Anthony) can run but she can`t hide."

Casey was released from jail on Sunday, July 17 at 12:09 am after being acquitted of murdering her two-year-old daughter Caylee Marie Anthony and has not been seen since.
