Kathy Griffin might be on the D-list, but at least she’s got some A-list pals.
The comedienne filled David Letterman in on all the details of her unlikely friendship with Cher on Tuesday’s edition of The Late Show.
Griffin said she met Cher through their mutual pal, Rosie O’ Donnell.
The Burlesque star “called me one day,” Griffin said — adding that Cher’s “got that Cher voice” — before launching into an impersonation of the singer’s distinctive pipes.
She said of Cher’s sprawling home: “I’ve never seen a house like it … it’s [so big, it’s] like going to see Santa Claus [in the North Pole!]”
Griffin said they have a no-makeup policy when they get together.
The Late Show airs weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on CBS.
