Scotty McCreery is a God-fearing teen from the bible belt; Lady Gaga sings about taking rides on Disco sticks.

So you knew something had to give when the outrageous pop star mentored the clean-cut Garner, North Carolina native on Wednesday's American Idol -- and boy, was it ever entertaining!

"Keep your mouth on that microphone like your life depends on it or that b***h gonna leave you," the pop star told McCreery, who looked like a deer in the headlights (which she picked up on).

"Apparently, he's a bit more conservative than I had imagined," Gaga said.

Said the show's Jimmy Iovine: "Scotty McCreery. Lady Gaga. I couldn't think of a better fit."

McCreery let his poker face down in a separate interview, expressing his uneasiness in taking the the hitmaker's sexually-charged advice.
