Nominees for the 65th annual Tony Awards were announced Tuesday in New York City.

The Book of Mormon, the satirical musical from South Park's Matt Stone and Trey Parker, led the charge with 14 nominations.

Among the nods it received were best musical, score, direction, choreography, book, and costumes. Actors Josh Gad and Andrew Rannelis were also nominated for individual honors.

Parker and Stone's religious comedy falls just one nod short of the record for the most nominations, set by Mel Brooks' The Producers, which garnered 15 nominations in 2001.
