Gwyneth Paltrow 'I Loved Cooking With My Dad - I Miss Him So Much'

Gwyneth Paltrow is currently riding high, with the launch of her fabulous new cookbook and a prospective recording deal looming.

However, it's a bittersweet time for the 38-year-old blond beauty, as she confesses how much she still misses her father, Bruce Paltrow, who died October 2002 after a long battle with oral cancer.

The Oscar winning mother of two, and now author of My Father's Daughter, a spectacular collection of recipes, photos and heartwarming stories from the personal life of Gwyneth and her loving relationship with Bruce.

Wearing a yellow Rachel Roy dress, a slim and toned Gwyneth held a book signing for 400 people at the Williams-Sonoma store in Beverly Hills Thursday afternoon, where she was gracious and smiling throughout.

However, a guest at the event exclusively told RadarOnline.com that when asked about her father, Gwyneth turned momentarily sad as she shared that they used to love to cook together, and that she still misses him, every day.

"You could see the subject of his death still pains her," the event guest said. "It's so sad he couldn't be there to share in her success.

"She was so kind and gracious though. I asked her what her favorite recipe was and she said she loved them all, that this is the way she cooks for her family at home all the time and so she couldn't decide.

"Gwyneth signed each book with a heart and then her name; she was really friendly and said her family loves all of the recipes too."
