EXCLUSIVE VIDEO INTERVIEW: Lynda Carter: 'I Created The Living, Breathing Wonder Woman'

She may be a comic book hero who ruled the TV screen, but there is one thing that Lynda Carter knows about her famous role: she created the real Wonder Woman.

In an exclusive video interview with RadarOnline.com, Lynda Carter spoke about how she shaped the character Wonder Woman, and how she still has part of the super hero in her life.

"It's so much a part of who I am and I think I put my self into Wonder Woman. I really created the living, breathing Wonder Woman," Lynda told RadarOnline.com.

In Los Angeles performing a concert, Lynda has come a long way since starring in the Wonder Woman TV series in the 70s. She's been married for 27 years, has two children, and is touring the country performing songs from her fourth album Crazy Little Things.

"Wonder Woman is such an integral part of my life," Lynda recalled.

"Everything shapes your life and I think Wonder Woman has had a big impact on my life... that show took me out of obscurity and into the minds of the people and the character was a great character to portray so I never tried to distance myself from her."

Looking gorgeous with her dark hair and sparkling smile, Lynda told RadarOnline.com she doesn't think her looks will be compared to the new Wonder Woman, Adrianne Palicki.

"I suppose that will be the biggest comparison, not so much the outside as it will be the inside of how people felt about Wonder Woman."

She did notice that Adrianne had a wardrobe change, from the original picture that had her in blue boots (Lynda's boots were red!)

"The new boots, I saw a picture of Adrianne online and now the boots are red!"

She is also excited about the new show's rising star, Adrianne Palicki. "I think the story is so great that I really wish her and David E. Kelley all the success in the world. It's a story that needs to be told."

Lynda told RadarOnline.com that she doesn't see herself as a role model.

"Being a role model I think are shoes too big for anyone to fill. I couldn't go about my life thinking of myself as a role model because I'm flawed... I think Wonder Woman herself what she lacks is a family life and friends who she shares her life with and it's all hidden and that's what I don't do in real life."

Lynda has been singing since she was 14, and said that she and her band do classic songs "in a very, very different way."

Lynda's new album Crazy Little Things hits stores April 26 and is available for pre-order now. Red Wonder Woman boots not included.
