If you have a spare $16.9 million lying around, you might want to make an offer on Dennis Quaid's fabulous Los Angeles-area estate.  The actor, along with wife Kimberly and their twins, have just moved to their new home in Austin, Texas, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Quaid, who turned 57 today, has deep Texas roots.  He was born and raised in Houston and his beloved mother Juanita, who is in her 80s, has recently moved into an Austin retirement home. Kimberly is also originally from Austin.

Dennis and Kimberly's new digs set the younger brother of wacky Randy Quaid back a cool $12 million.  It's located right on Lake Austin and even has a helipad!

The Pacific Palisades equestrian estate he's selling has an 8,400 sq. ft. home with eight bedrooms and nine baths, a spa and pool, plus barn and corral.  It also has a gym where the ab-king reportedly worked out daily.

Quaid, whose teenage son with Meg Ryan is now attending NYU,  said the timing was just right for the move.
