Jacob Lusk and Naima Adedapo shined bright on what was a night of standouts on American Idol Wednesday, as virtually all of the remaining 11 contestants held their own as the show kicked off its’ annual Motown-themed week.

Adedapo gave a fresh spin to Martha and the Vandellas' classic Dancing in the Street, and at the end of her performance, she broke into an African-inspired dance, garnering rave reviews from all three judges.

"Once again, we see the whole package," Steven Tyler told her, while Jennifer Lopez told her, "You're an exciting performer -- I love watching you -- you definitely have that little extra something on the stage!"

Said Randy Jackson: "Finally, tonight, all of Naima showed up -- the girl that loves all the African dance... the reggae girl... the singing. Everything was very smart that you did."

Not to be outdone, Lusk hit a home run with his rendition of Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's You're All I Need to Get By, receiving a standing ovation and sugary-sweet praise from the judges.

"You know what was wrong with that performance guys? Absolutely nothing!" Jackson howled in delight.

"You milked it, you did it" Tyler said of Lusk, who he nicknamed "Baby Luther" in honor of late R&B legend Luther Vandross. At the end of his performance, Tyler even went on stage and kissed Lusk to congratulate him.
