Diva wannabe Ashton Jones was voted off American Idol Thursday night, and while the judges had the option to save her, in the end, they did not.

Host Ryan Seacrest announced at the beginning of the 'Results Show' that more than 30-million people had cast votes the night before when the Top 13 took to the stage to sing in pre-taped performances.

On Thursday night, we found out that Jones, 24, was one of three women in the bottom three; the other two were Karen Rodriguez, 21, and Haley Reinhart, 20.

After Ryan announced that both Karen and Haley were safe, Ashton was allowed to sing 'for her life' one final time, with judges Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, and Steven Tyler having the option of saving her and bringing her back next week.

Ashton sang Diana Ross' "When You Tell Me That You Love Me" -- but her performance did not impress the judges enough to use their one 'save' for the entire season.

Lopez broke the news to the clearly emotional Ashton by saying: "Not this time baby.. I'm sorry."

Lopez was referring to the fact that Ashton did not make the Top 10 last week, but was only allowed to continue in the competition as one of the judge's wild card picks.

American Idol returns to Fox next Wednesday at 8/7c for a two-hour special in which the remaining Top 12 finalists perform live.
