Ashley Hebert, one of the final women in the running for Brad Womack’s love and affection on this season of The Bachelor, was announced on Monday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! as the next star of The Bachelorette.
Hebert, 26, appeared looking sexy in a slinky sliver dress. She told Kimmel she was approached by ABC executives as this season’s show wound down, and that she’s glad she wasn’t selected by Womack, in hindsight, as she’ll now look to find love with one of 25 hunks for the taking.
“I think it all turned out for the best,” said the gorgeous dental student, who follows in the footsteps of past Bachelorettes such as Trista Rehn, Meredith Phillips, Jennifer Schefft, DeAnna Pappas, Jillian Harris and Ali Fedotowsky.
“I think [Brad’s] very happy [with Emily Maynard] and I think I’m gonna be very happy,” she said, noting that the romantic ending between Maynard and Womack gave her closure in her feelings for the Texas hunk.
The Bachelorette premieres May 23 on ABC.
