Latin hunk Enrique Iglesias has finally spoken out about the controversial concert snubbing of Britney Spears following the announcement that he won't be touring with her this summer.

"Hey guys, sorry for the confusion regarding a possible tour in the summer with Britney Spears. We are on the Euphoria tour and will continue to do so including some soon-to-be-announced dates in US. So hope to see all of you soon," Iglesias tweeted on Wednesday evening.

The unlikely stage pairing was announced on Tuesday just moments before the Toxic singer hit the stage on Good Morning America in a pre-taped concert appearance, but as RadarOnline.com previously reported, Britney was quickly blindsided when Iglesias' camp made a rapid-fire denial.

"Unfortunately, Enrique Iglesias and Britney Spears will not be touring together," his rep said. "Despite initial reports based on formal discussions of the possible run, Enrique will continue on his solo tour in support of his new album EUPHORIA. Enrique has great respect for Britney and is a longtime fan of her work. He is very sorry for the confusion this might have caused to anyone."

Live Nation is promoting the show and sent out a media advisory stating: "Enrique Iglesias is no longer on this tour."

Britney has not tweeted about the tour mix up on her Twitter page and has instead been using the site to promote her new album, Femme Fatale, asking her fans, "What's your favorite song off Femme Fatale?"
