Whoopi Goldberg got the first Oscar snub of the season -- for an award she won 20 years ago!

The View personality was infuriated by a Sunday New York Times article by critics Manohla Dargis and A.O. Scott, about the history of African Americans and the Oscars. The article completely omitted Goldberg’s best supporting actress Academy Award for 1990s' Ghost, as if it never existed.

"I have to tell you, it hurt me terribly," Whoopi groused. "When you win an Academy Award, that's part of your legacy ... and to be dismissed and erased by the New York Times critics who should know better ... this is not hidden information.

“It’s hard not to take it personally,” she said. “People in Somalia know I've won an Oscar; people in China know, because I am a worldwide person that's known,” she said, before whipping out her Oscar to a loud ovation.

"This omission ... I don't know what to say about what you've done ... you’re supposed to be better than this,” she said, noting it had been 50 years in between her win and the previous African American winner, Gone With The Wind’s Hattie McDaniel.
