Singer Bruno Mars Appears Before Judge In Cocaine Case

Grammy-nominated singer Bruno Mars waived his preliminary hearing on one felony count of cocaine possession in a Las Vegas courtroom Friday, RadarOnline.com has learned.

The Just the Way You Are singer, 25, was arrested in Sin City this past September with 2.6 grams of cocaine in his possession.

Mars, whose real name is Peter Hernandez, is due back in Clark County court on February 14 for a plea date.

He’s expected to plead guilty in exchange for a dismissal of the charge if he pays a $2,000 fine, attends drug counseling, finishes 200 hours of community service and does not have any further legal scrapes.

"We are extremely pleased that the charge against Bruno is going to be dismissed," said his lawyer, Blair Berk.
